India vs England, 4th Test, Day 4: Hello and welcome to our coverage of the fourth day of the fourth Test match between India and England at The Rose Bowl, Southampton. Skipper Virat Kohli got a lucky reprieve after another howler from third umpire Joel Wilson as India reached 46 for 3 against England at lunch on the fourth day, chasing a tricky victory target of 245. Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane duo added 24 runs for the unbroken fourth wicket after another top-order collapse reduced India to 22 for 3. The Indian top order flopped once again as Shikhar Dhawan (17), KL Rahul (0) and Cheteshwar Pujara (5) were dismissed cheaply. James Anderson (2-15) had Dhawan caught at slip and trapped Pujara lbw, as the Indian top-order struggled against lateral movement generated by the new ball. India vs England, Highlights, 3rd Test Day 4 at Trent Bridge:

Jasprit Bumrah produced a hostile spell of fast bowling to put India on brink of a comprehensive victory before the final England pair delayed the inevitable on an engrossing fourth day of the third Test. What a final session have we witnessed. A session of two halfs to be honest. One dominated by the English side, where Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes continued from where they left off in the second session. The two added a massive 169-run stand with the right-hander bringing up his maiden ton. Stokes supported him really well and looked solid through out. The two may have revived some hopes in the English camp but the star of today, Jasprit Bumrah had different ideas. (IND VS ENG  MATCH SCORECARD).

India vs England Live Cricket Score, 3rd Test Day 3:

Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the third day of the third Test between India and England at the Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Virat Kohli scored a century, while Cheteshwar Pujara and Hardik Pandya contributed with a fifty as India declared their second innings on 352/7 to set England a 521-run target to win in Nottingham. England’s misery is over, finally. India have set a gigantic target in front of the home team to win this Test and seal the series. A near impossible task and England will consider themselves lucky if they come out unscathed. Powerful batting show by India yet again. After gaining a handsome lead, their batsmen came out with positive intent and batted with a lot of control. Their openers once again laid a strong platform and then the pair of Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli swelled the lead with a century partnership. The former missed his ton but the Indian skipper once again displayed his class by notching up his second hundred of the series. One can feel that the tourists delayed in declaring the innings but they still have 189 overs to take England’s 9 wickets (Bairstow with a fractured finger is doubtful to bat).(IND VS ENG  MATCH SCORECARD)

India vs England Highlights, 3rd Test Day 2: Hardik Pandya
Riding on a five-wicket haul from all-rounder Hardik Pandya, India dominated Day 2 of the third Test at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. With 124 for 2 on the board at stumps, India extended their lead to 292 runs, strengthening their grip on the match. After a disappointing morning, things turned around for India in the post-lunch session as Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah struck in quick succession. In the latter half, Hardik Pandya produced a magical spell, picking up five wickets in just six overs. The England team collapsed like a pack of cards and bundled out for 161 in 38.2 overs. With a healthy lead of 168 runs, Indian openers started confidently, taking on the England bowlers. Openers Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul stitched yet another 50-run opening stand before Rahul (36) missed an in-swinger from Ben Stokes. Post Rahul’s dismissal, Dhawan (44) and Pujara notched up a 51-run partnership, extending India’s lead in the second innings. At stumps, Virat Kolhi and Cheteshwar Pujara remained unbeaten at 8 and 33 runs respectively. For England, it was a disappointing day as batsmen surrendered in front of the Indian pacers in overcast conditions. Jos Buttler (39) was the highest scorer for the team in the first innings.(IND VS ENG  MATCH SCORECARD)

India vs England Highlights, 3rd Test, Day 1: IND 307/6 in 87.0 overs

India vs England, 3rd Test, Day 1 at Trent Bridge:India captain Virat Kohli fell three runs short of a century as India produced an improved batting display to reach 307/6 at stumps on the first day of the third Test against England at Trent Bridge on Saturday.Chris Woakes (3/75) reduced India to 82/3 at lunch after Joe Root had made the tourists bat but Kohli (97) and Ajinkya Rahane (81) put on 159 runs for the fourth-wicket, India’s first century-stand of the series, to take control. However, England hit back in the final session as Alastair Cook took a stunning catch off the bowling of Stuart Broad (1/64) to remove Rahane. Spinner Adil Rashid took only the one wicket but it was the most important dismissal for England with Kohli caught at slip by the recalled Ben Stokes. James Anderson (1/52) then had Hardik Pandya caught behind with the final ball of the day to leave the match evenly poised at the close, though India will be encouraged by their batting display.

India vs England Day 4 2nd Test match

India vs England Day 4, 2nd Test match at Lord’s as it happened: India lose by innings and 159 runs.

India were defeated in the second Test of the series against England at Lord’s. India are now 0-2 down with three Test matches to play.

India went down weakly in the second innings of the second Test match at Lord’s, losing the match by an innings and 159 runs. Having been bowled out for 107 runs in the first innings, the team didn’t fare much better in the second innings scoring only 130. Indian top-order failed to perform yet again and like in the first innings off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was the top scorer with 33. To add to India’s worries captain Virat Kohli didn’t look 100% fit on the fourth day of the match and with next match starting on Friday it produces a big dilemma for India. For England James Anderson took nine wickets in the match while Chris Woakes shone with an all round performance in the match.
